My volunteer experience

My Senior Project I volunteered in the Prime Minister in Pantang Street and the Soup Kitchen near the Joshua Group on the 14th and the market. The first soup kitchen I explored was called Franciscan Charities, Inc., it was a soup kitchen in Newark, New Jersey. They started in 2005 and still go on. When they started first, they served only 12 customers, although they had little access to water and electricity, along with the indicated gang members who call the entrance, and the police who crazy they had kept it and finally until 200 years old. That was my first volunteer and I felt happy if someone said, thanks, because it felt good to do something beautiful for people.

An important food bank program I saw was called "Food Bank of the Rockies", which is for people in Colorado. It distributed about 121,000 through various partner agencies every day. They are the largest private hunger relief organization in the state of Colorado, founded in 1978. (Food Bank of the Rockies), they offer food for adults, seniors and children. This organization is the same "Francis and Charities Inc., but at the same time different. Francis is mostly religious food deposit, which preserved food from different churches, and started from the bottom of an abandoned church and is mostly voluntary. While Rockies have both employees and volunteers but began in a school room.

The Food Bank program was created to feed those that are in poverty. In 2013 was 45.3 people in U.S. in poverty. Pennsylvania ranking number 31 in unemployment rates for states Annual average rankings, which was a lot of poverty or went to poverty. Food banks voluntarily are usually not much. And a lot of food the food bench or soup kitchen receive donations as of our schools that can drive.

Many of the organizations I voluntarily opens or explored, have many things together and indifferent. For example, many of the Suppenkuchen are church sponsor and have a religious background. But at the same time living space and some Suppenkuchen governors sponsor.

Through this senior project, I learn not only in the Harrisburg community, but also the service of other communities.I learn not to waste too much, because there are many people who are in poverty and soup pieces, the kitchens with food, but the food must be donated to have food to serve food.
